Money House Blessing
One of the things I love about folk magic is it’s down to earth practicality and it’s ability to be integrated into ones daily life. A great example of this is the Money House Blessing formula. This is a line of spiritual products designed to bless and draw money into your home.
The line of products comes in floor wash, incense, bath crystals, anointing oil the works. This is generally a product that would be used as part of daily / weekly cleaning. As your going about cleaning your home you may finish off with some Money House Blessing spray, or maybe wash your floors with it and say a prayer. Simple.
Making Your Own Money House Blessing Formula
Being the Diy’er that I am I really love to make my own formula for these kinds of things so I recently came up with some ideas about how to formulate my own Money House Blessing formula. If we look on the original packaging we see some common hoodoo imagery. We’ve got an Indian head and a cornucopia. The label also references “9 Indian oil.” As an aerosol it comes in various “flavors,” for instance Indian fruit, vanilla, strawberry etc. All the labels say “9 Indian <scent>” oil. So we get a reference to Indian spirituality and the number 9 meaning spirituality and growth since it’s three 3’s.
Magically speaking this formula would seem to be a combination of a number of separate formulae. Money Drawing and House Blessing, prosperity and money stay with me , peaceful home and Blessing type recipes. So the simplest way to put something together to bless a home with new money abundance would be to simply combine these formulae.
We could also make a trio of formulae that hit all these targets and also be on the right track. In this case I’d nix the prosperity since it’s a nebulous concept to me magically speaking. I like a formula that is specific. Does it draw or repel? Protect or attack? Without a clear target for a formula in mind to start then I have no means of judging the efficacy of my magic. This whole thing becomes a process of wish fulfillment and mental masturbation.
So a good way to get targets for this formula would be to put together a money drawing formula, a money stay with me formula and a Blessing and Peace formula. These would be 3 ingredient type recipes which would make 9 ingredients total bringing back the mystical influences of the 9 we talked about above.
The Money Drawing Formula
Let’s start with the money drawing.
The money drawing herb par excellence in Rootwork is Bayberry. In my opinion if your drawing formula doesn’t have bayberry it isn’t authentic. A secondary herb which is paired with Bayberry in money drawing is Cinnamon. Cinnamon also has protection functions and is a spice which adds a bit of energy to a formula making it work faster. Sarsaparilla is also a common ingredient is Money House Blessing so I thought that should be mentioned here as well. Patchouli is another great option. I use this in my money drawing incense, it also helps to “power up” a formula so I think that’s a good option here.
So here’s where we’re at with our money drawing trio:
- Bayberry
- Cinnamon
- Patchouli
A few honorable mentions are listed below:
- Earth Smoke – if you’re making an incense, then this is a good addition as earth smoke is a money drawing incense all by itself.
- Dragons Blood – good for protection and as a general booster, we see it being used in a whole lot for formulae.
- Sassafras – if you have a home based business and want to draw money to it you can add some sassafras to the above formula for that.
Blessing Formula
Now let’s take a look at our blessing formula.
I’d like to combine all the various blessing functions into one trio of herbs. That means we’re gonna need 3 herbs that will be a general blessing, will bless a home and will create peace.
The blessing curio par excellence has got to be Frankincense so that’s gonna be in there for sure. This will also lend power to the money drawing formula as well. Frankincense is generally mixed with Myrrh to give it even more power and balance the scent.
Finally in order to provide peace in the home we can make use of Sandalwood. This also mixes well with the Frankincense & Myrrh and the three together form a trio of a house blessing formula.
So here’s our Blessing Formula:
- Frankincense
- Myrrh
- Sandalwood
Money Stay With Me Formula
Thyme is a good start for a money stay with me type of formula. It will draw and protect your money. Mint is also a good addition here as it will protect your money from anyone who wants to take it. Combined with some Bayberry you’ve got a pretty solid money stay with me type formula.
Also good to mention here is Sassafras. Sassafras is good for drawing money, business, and protecting it. Finally, Chamomile is a common money protection herb as well. For my trio I’d probably go with that.
So in order to keep our money in the home we’ve got:
- Thyme
- Mint
- Chamomile
This formula will only really be active as a money protector when it gets mixed in with the bayberry.
Honorable Mention:
Gall of the Earth – this is a rare species now so I’ll just mention it but we won’t be using it. It’s also great for finding buried treasure.
Basil – I’ve seen this in money protection formulae as well. It’s protective of the home and of the money that comes in. So it’s good for protection and peace in the home. If you’re going to use this you would substitute it for the chamomile or mint probably.
Sarsaparilla – This is a traditional ingredient in Money House Blessing formula. A basic 5 ingredient formula is given by Herb-Magic.com as Cinnamon Chips, Sarsaparilla, Sandalwood, Frankincense and Myrrh. This is a great smelling incense by the way!
Money House Blessing Formula:
- Bayberry
- Cinnamon
- Patchouli
- Frankincense
- Myrrh
- Sandalwood
- Thyme
- Mint
- Chamomile
Alright so that’s a good start to get experimenting with Money House Blessing Formula. I don’t give amounts because you should experiment with it and see what feels best for you. Some of these herbs & resins would actually be oils & some would be chips (bayberry for example).
How you put it all together though is up to you and largely dependent on the resources you have available.
Good Luck!
